Through Focolare New Humanity Africa, we coordinate and support initiatives that foster peace, unity, and sustainable development across Africa. Here are some of our key programs:

Together for a New Africa (T4NA)

T4NA is a pan-African youth leadership initiative that empowers young leaders to shape a new generation of ethical and united African changemakers.

Centre for Inculturation

In partnership with the Centre for Inculturation at Mariapolis Piero, we support dialogue, cultural formation, and interreligious initiatives. Key programs include formation schools for priests and international conferences fostering intercultural understanding.

Sports4Peace

In partnership with Kindermissionswerk, the Sports4Peace initiative engages children, adolescents, and youth in learning key values for peaceful coexistence through sports and games. The program creates awareness among children, youth, group animators, and teachers by enabling them to learn and experience together, through interactive activities, the attitudes and skills that promote peace, fraternity, cooperation, teamwork, and conflict resolution. Through this process, participants are empowered to become active promoters of peace and reconciliation at the grassroots level within their local communities

Empower 2 Care

A community-based program that equips caregivers and health workers with training, mentoring, and peer support to better serve vulnerable groups in Mariapolis Piero and surrounding communities.

Inspired by the Ubuntu philosophy, this program forms youth leaders in peacebuilding and community engagement. It promotes holistic formation and intercultural dialogue, empowering participants to become agents of reconciliation.

Ubuntu4Peace

Hombre Mundo

An intercultural exchange program for teenagers, offering opportunities to encounter, learn, and collaborate across borders. Recently, the program reached over 7,000 teens in 10 countries across Eastern and Southern Africa.

Water and Environmental Projects

From improving water systems at Mariapolis Piero to tree planting and climate awareness campaigns, we work to promote environmental sustainability and care for creation.
